The Twin Hanging Bridge In Bohol Philippines

The famous Hanging Bridge in Bohol is located in the Municipality of Sevilla. It is made out of woven bamboo slats with steel cables as the main support of the bridge. It is also situated just beside the main road and made it very accessible for all commuters and tourists.

The bridge spans at around 40 meters and offers a great view of the emerald Sipatan River below. It only started as a single woven bamboo bridge tied with ropes before they upgraded the ropes to steel cables for additional safety.

As the bridge earned its reputation, the people of Sevilla decided to create another same structured bridge and then named it as the twin bridge. It also helped reduce the tension on the bridge after splitting the number of people going back and forth.

Though the upgrade of the steel cable seems to help the bridge, it is still really scary especially when someone is walking ahead and behind you. You can feel the bridge shaking and the squelching sound adds the thrill.

On the other side of the bridge, you can find souvenir shops which prices were slightly cheaper compared to the shops in Hinagdanan Cave.
