ALONA BEACH is a small stretch of tropical paradise on Panglao Island in Bohol. It became one of the top travel destinations in the Philippines due to its wonderful white sand beach, beautiful blue waters, world class diving and tours.
The beach is around 1.5 kilometers stretch of white sand
bordered on both ends by two rock walls. You can walk from one end to the other
in 10-15 minutes passing by all sorts of hotels and restaurants where you can
stop in for a cold beer or soda.
At night, the area is filled with different people from
different races. Bars and restaurants are everywhere and you can enjoy a
trouble-free party. Though the Local Government only permits these activities
until 12:00 in the midnight, the people seem to get used to it.
We had our dinner at the Alona Hidden Dream Seafood Restaurant.
They offer 100 grams of shrimp for 150 pesos, only good for a barbecue recipe.
However, if you order a minimum of 200 pesos they will cook the shrimp
according to your choice. We also had sizzling squid with extra chili for 200
pesos and 2 bottles of soda for 20 pesos each and 3 servings of steamed rice
for 20 pesos each.
